Today we talk about Vanity Fair's article offering a first look at the series: "Amazon's Lord of the Rings Series Rises: Inside The Rings of Power." In the process, we talk about some questions that apparently have whipped the fandom into a tizzy: (1) Do female dwarves have beards? (2) Do elves have long hair? And (3) Do elves have pointy ears?

Barely a week has gone by and already we have more promotional material from Amazon. This time, they gave us 23 full color character posters. In each poster the subject is holding something in their hands, but we don't see their face, so they gave us plenty to chew on while leaving a lot to the imagination. Michael and Jen discuss each poster and provide translations and explanations for the iconography they reveal.

Today it's just the OG's, and we're covering the Flight to the Fords sequence in 1:14:44-1:24:00 of The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Edition). Frodo's feeling a little woozy, so our favorite she-elf tries to take him on a quick horse ride to the nearest pharmacy when they are interrupted by nine Black Riders. This may be a short sequence, but there's a lot to unpack. Be sure to stick around for the Grey Havens. We made a discovery that fans of Tolkien (and Nickel Creek) are sure to enjoy.
